CURRENT COVID 19 REGULATIONS
We are set in 161 acres of beautiful Staffordshire countryside and located approximately 2.5 miles from ALTON TOWERS and 1 mile from the ancient ruins of CROXDEN ABBEY
The site offers free hot showers, dish washing area, a multitude of activities for both young and old, from Camping, Archaeology. Woodland Walk, Bird Watching, Converted Barn Venue (which holds approx. 500 people), to Paranormal Research. There are also the animals that you will normally find on a farm including Sheep, Cows, Hens etc. as well as the unusual from Crested Newts to various birds of prey, Muntjac deer and Badgers.
Steeped in history the farm's foundations date back to 1373 when allegedly it was used as a Lay Brother's Chapel (connected to Croxden Abbey) before becoming a working farm. Findings from various archaeological digs on site have found artifacts from all eras from late Mesolithic upwards.
The site is also within close proximity to public houses that we would recommend. The Bulls Head in the center of Alton Village.

Takeaway deliveries. There are a variety of takeaway deliveries we recommend, Thai food , Chinese, Indian and Pizza. please see the menus provided in the visitors center.

Please note: Dogs are welcome at Wood Farm but must be kept under supervision at all time by the owner and please ensure that all dog mess is cleaned up immediately and placed in the bins provided
